  Bay Ltd. is currently hiring experienced Boilermakers to work a local turnaround that begins on January 19, 2015. Work schedule is 7/10’s for three weeks. Requires a TWIC card, pass a hair follicle drug screen and safety counsel orientations. Essential Job Functions: Performs maintenance and installs equipment related to various types of towers, heat exchangers, heaters, and plant piping to blueprint specifications, using power tools and hand tools. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Read blueprints to determine location and relationship of parts. 2. Connect fire tubes to head or water tubes to drain and headers of boilers. 3. Drill and tap holes for installation of studs. 4. Tighten bolts to assemble frames, using power or hand wrenches. 5. Bolts or screw accessories, such as manholes, hand holes, fans, gauges, and valves to vessels. 6. Replaces defective parts, using power wrenches, prying bars, or hand tools. 7. May perform general piping work such as line breaking, installing blinds, gaskets, 8. May install equipment internals, packing’s, catalysts, and desiccants in vessels. Physical Demands: Mostly outdoors; may include extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Physical demands may include climbing about machinery, climbing ladders, catwalks and scaffolding, and medium carrying (exerting 20-50 pounds of force frequently). May require working inside vessels in cramped and uncomfortable positions. The employee must to able to wear respirator protective equipment when required.
